So, Hello World!

It’s in our genes. We, developers, must start new things with “Hello World!”. It’s an urge that we can’t resist, something we can’t live without.

So, Hello World!

Ok, on to the topic. I’m Hakan, and I’m an hobbyist developer (for now!) from Turkey. My day job is about businesses, finance, economy and such. Boring things, in short. Well, not boring in fact, but comparing to development, it’s not that exciting.

I already have 3 other blogs.

And planning for two more, one about music, and one about gaming, my two other hobbies.

I’m not a frequent writer, as it takes a lot of time to write a blog post with meaningful content. But, when the urge comes, I just can’t resist to write.

And, as I have a broad range of interest about different areas, I decided to separate them, so my writings will reach the correct audience, without other noise.

So, what will I write about?

My main area of interest in programming is artificial intelligence and game theory.

I’m also a PHP developer, specialized in delivering minimum-viable-products for new projects. I mainly use Symfony 2 for custom project, and Wordpress for CMS needs.

I started programming with PHP, which led me to other areas of programming. Since I have the flexibility of writing whatever I want in whatever language I want, I decided to go for fun! And ended up learning common lisp. After learning all the basics about common lisp, I’m planning to move onto Clojure, the new cool guy on the field.

You can expect all kind of crazy things about artificial intelligence, mathematics, algorithms, theories, computers, games, development, relevant tools and things, game theory, web development, best practices, use cases, Symfony 2, Wordpress and some more things that I can’t think about now.

As I said, I’m not a frequent writer, and I don’t have any goals like “x posts per week”. I will write whenever the writing urge kicks in, which generally happens when I discover some new amazing things, or when I’m stuck on a problem.

Let’s roll!

Oh, and the blog name is inspired from an answer on Stack Overflow to a question that I can’t remember by someone also I can’t remember. Thanks for the inspiration, whoever you are!
